It's A Plate Party

I'm still sorting and cleaning up the last haul, mentioned HERE.   In an effort to make good and useful space for everything I've been doing a major reorganization of the storage office...and re-discovering lots of hidden finds that really should have been listed long ago.

Apparently I used to have a bit of a dinnerware problem.   I love it when I find it, but it just never seems to sell quickly for me.  I must have hit a listing "wall" a while back because I found a whole box of plates and bowls that should have been listed.  So that's what I did this weekend.  Maybe you're looking for a piece or 2 to complete your collection??  I might just have what you need :)

I have a lot of random pieces of this pattern, including the harder to find ashtray.

Whew!!  Sorry for the picture heavy post.   I think I might need to hold off on buying any more plates for a while- at least until I can move some of these.

Do you have any items you gravitate towards-
Even though you should probably keep on walking?

Love learning about what others "find?"

  1. I used to share your inability to pass on a pretty plate, sugar bowl or creamer! A couple of months ago I laid it all out on our 6 ft. dining table (it covered it) and decided it was time to have a huge garage sale. I made my money back and donated the rest to a thrift that supports a battered women's shelter. Nothing like seeing it all laid out like that to help curb the magpie tendencies!

    1. That's sort of what happened over here...I kept pulling items out of hiding!
      It's a bit out of control :)

  2. Your plates are ever so lovely! My 'gravitate' item is clowns! I always 'gravitate' toward clowns. I have figurines, dolls, paintings. Jiminey cricket, I must have at least 200 clowns. I just took a photo. I will try to find someone to help me scan it once i get the film developed.

    1. The great clean out can be very cathartic, if at not a first overwhelming. I strongly encourage you to give it a go. :)

  4. I totally gravitate to glassware. I have been trying to look at other things as well now but glass is my thing :) I love the Swiss Alpine plates - I have a casserole dish with that same pattern :)

    1. Trust me, if we didn't already have a cabinet full of dishes I would be keeping the Swiss Alpine set.

  5. I'm a glassware nut!! I have so much, I'm starting to run out of places to put it. It doesn't help when my hubby buys me pieces too! We do use them though - a lot, so I don't feel too guilty having so many. ;-)
